Meet C. Denise Marcelle
C. Denise Marcelle has spent her career in public service to the people of East Baton Rouge Parish. She is running for Justice of the Peace, District 4, to bring the same accessible, hands-on leadership to the court that residents have come to expect from her in the community.
Her campaign is built on V.O.I.C.E. — Visible leadership, open and fair justice, integrity you can trust, community-centered service, and efficient solutions. If elected Justice of the Peace, she will make sure residents, families, landlords, tenants, and small-claims litigants are heard, informed, and treated with dignity.
The justice of the peace court is often the first and only courtroom many people ever enter. C. Denise believes that experience should be fair, respectful, and understandable—never intimidating.

Service & Experience
A Record of Public Service
Decades of advocacy for East Baton Rouge Parish residents — working on public safety, housing, neighborhood investment and constituent services — have prepared Denise for the responsibilities of the bench. Her experience also includes serving as a Licensed Notary Public, strengthening her understanding of legal documents, public service and the importance of accuracy and integrity.
Her years of service have given her a strong understanding of the people, families and communities of District 4, as well as the relationships needed to help ensure a court that is responsive, accountable and connected to the community it serves.
